Letting Go -
A spiritual practice that I am very familar with is - Letting Go. When we asked in my Self-Cultivation class to choose a spiritual practice to observe and journal on throughout the year, this is what I chose.
It is a simple yet very powerful practice that can be life changing. The very moment that you realize that God got you - that something is not your battle, a peace envelops you as you know you don't have to struggle.
However, with any focus on God's word, I have been tested in the form of my mother whom I now live with! My 83 year old is a funny, fiesty, delighfully wise young lady who has a particular way that she is very vocal on living.
What is important? What is my business? When my focus is on God, on serving in His name, I have no time for anything but love and service. I thank God for His wisdom in directing my life~
This is one of the jars I began making as a visual reminder of letting go!

This meditation in its various forms has helped me in that place where I store the bulk of my angst. Because it also a major God place, where my intuitive nature resides, this is a good cleansing exercise to remove negative thoughts, emotions and feelings.

Sometimes it's as simple as breathing for us to get centered. This is a mini-meditation that can put you back in control of your life when it starts to slip between your fingers. It can act as a bridge between longer, more formal meditations.
